During the ongoing Public Wealth Management Conference organized by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated, Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, disclosed the government’s decision to scrutinize the N23 trillion Ways and Means debt.
Edun also announced plans to present a bill to the National Assembly aimed at eliminating “burdensome” taxes and levies from the country’s tax system, to avert future indebtedness through Ways and Means. Furthermore, the minister emphasized the government’s determination to implement policies facilitating real-time revenue collection from government-owned enterprises and Corporate entities.
