On Wednesday, the Lagos State Government announced plans to divert traffic at the Ijora 7up end of the Marine Bridge from February 2nd to May 10th, for comprehensive maintenance of the bridge.
This decision was communicated in a statement by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi.
He also advised motorists to adhere to alternative routes provided by the state government throughout the duration of the repair works.

“The Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be diverted at the Ijora 7up end of the Marine Bridge from February 2nd to May 10th, 2024 for comprehensive maintenance of the bridge.
Consequently, the following alternative routes have been mapped out for motorists during the course of the repairs…”
The Commissioner assured that Traffic Management Personnel would be deployed to minimize inconvenience and improve traffic flow during this period.
