The legislative process in the Kogi State House of Assembly has culminated in the formal approval of the state’s 2024 Appropriation Bill, amounting to N258.2 billion.
This significant milestone was achieved following the endorsement of the report put forth by the House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Budget Monitoring, and Economic Planning.
Delving into the details during the clause-by-clause deliberations, Speaker Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf outlined that the bill encompasses authorized recurrent expenditure of N145.7 billion, complemented by authorized capital expenditure amounting to N112.5 billion.
The comprehensive bill delineates the allocation of funds to various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, and is slated to be effective from January 2024 to December 2024.
