The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, issued a heartfelt call to the state’s residents, urging them to keep their ailing leader, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, in their thoughts and prayers.

Aiyedatiwa made this compassionate plea during a state broadcast on Thursday, assuming the role of acting governor after Akeredolu took a medical leave and officially delegated authority to his Deputy.

In his address, the acting governor emphasized the critical need for unity among the people of the state as they strive to revive accelerated progress. Aiyedatiwa implored citizens not to falter in their prayers for Governor Akeredolu’s swift recovery, underscoring the paramount importance of peace and unity to foster development in the South-western state.

Aiyedatiwa articulated, “Let us cast aside unnecessary distractions, standing united in purpose. As we come back stronger, our determination should be centered on enhancing the well-being and security of our people. Our collective vision must focus on building a shared future, transcending the divisions of the past.

This commitment is a debt owed to the resilient people of the Sunshine State, aligning with the principles outlined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.”
