The Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has strongly urged the federal government to launch a thorough investigation into the tragic incident that claimed the lives of over 100 individuals in last weekend’s ill-fated bombings in Kaduna State.
In a statement, Governor Radda, expressing profound sorrow and distress, described the situation as a “tragic and devastating incident” that has left many in deep sorrow and anguish.
The governor, through his chief press secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed Kaula, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Kaduna State, as well as the families of the victims affected by the unfortunate incident.
He underscored the urgency of learning from the incident to prevent its recurrence, emphasizing that the military should have meticulously analyzed credible intelligence regarding terrorist movements before launching the brutal aerial assault.
Governor Radda highlighted the concerning trend of such incidents not being isolated, urging a serious examination to understand the root causes. Standing in solidarity with the victims and their distressed families on behalf of Katsina State, he implored the federal government and military hierarchy to conduct a comprehensive probe into the miscalculated airstrike.
