Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has issued a stern warning to those who are making threats of violence in the lead-up to the state’s forthcoming gubernatorial election, scheduled for November 11.
During a campaign event in Kabba, Kogi-West Senatorial District, the governor reassured the public that such threats would be swiftly dealt with, well in advance of the election, and encouraged people to disregard them. Governor Bello expressed confidence in the security agencies’ ability to handle the situation effectively.
He declared, “I want to make it clear that those who are threatening violence will be neutralized long before the election. They will be left disillusioned. I call upon the security agencies to respond promptly, just as they have done in the past. My constituents are resolute and not willing to give these troublemakers any chance.”
Governor Bello highlighted the achievements of his administration and urged the public to vote for the APC (All Progressives Congress) to continue building on these successes. He emphasized the importance of staying united and not regressing, particularly in light of the plans the administration of President Bola Tinubu has for Kogi State. He underscored the significant infrastructure developments and prudent resource management that have characterized his time in office.
He appealed to the people of Kogi-West to support the APC to ensure the consolidation of these achievements and to leave a legacy for future generations to be proud of.
The APC gubernatorial candidate for the state, Usman Ododo, pledged to build upon the successes of Governor Bello’s administration, emphasizing sustainability and further development. He expressed his commitment to serve and foster continued progress in the state.
