Joint Security Operation Rescues 29 Kidnap Victims in Bauchi State

A joint security operation in Bauchi State’s Lere District, led by the Police, Army, local hunters, and vigilantes, successfully rescued 29 kidnap victims.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed revealed this during his visit to the security forces, highlighting that the operation, under the supervision of the State Police Command, also resulted in the death of 67 bandits.

Governor Mohammed stressed that these actions adhered to established rules of engagement and issued a stern warning to traditional leaders who were suspected of harboring and assisting bandits in their territories, cautioning them of potential consequences.

He emphasized the necessity of establishing an Internal Security Agency, with plans to recruit and train over 20,000 personnel in collaboration with conventional security forces, aligning with his commitment to protecting the lives and assets of the state’s residents.
