Napoli’s Skipper Giovanni Di Lorenzo, holds the belief that Victor Osimhen can play a crucial role in helping the Serie A champions secure a victory against Real Madrid.
Napoli is set to face Carlo Ancelotti’s side in a UEFA Champions League match at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on Tuesday night.
Osimhen has recently garnered attention for various reasons. The Nigerian striker expressed his discontent to Napoli coach Garcia after being substituted during a match against Bologna. Furthermore, his agent issued a threat of legal action against the club in response to TikTok videos that were initially published and later removed by Napoli.
In Napoli’s 4-0 triumph against Udinese last weekend, Osimhen initially started as a substitute but made an impact by scoring early in the second half after coming on for Giovanni Simeone. Di Lorenzo emphasized that Napoli continues to stand by Osimhen and has confidence in his ability to contribute to a successful outcome against Real Madrid.

His relationships within the dressing room, his conduct, and his determination to give his best for this team have remained constant,” stated Di Lorenzo during his pre-match press conference. “He consistently supports his teammates, as evidenced in the Lecce game. To us, he remains the same Osimhen—a talented player who always gives his utmost and will continue to do so tomorrow.”
