Governor Soludo Unveils Ambitious Redevelopment Vision for Anambra State Capital

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has unveiled ambitious plans for a significant transformation of the state capital.

He announced that his administration will embark on a comprehensive redevelopment project, including the demolition of numerous properties, to create a state capital that aligns with the collective vision of the people.

Governor Soludo made this announcement on a Saturday following his participation in the monthly Solution Walk For Healthy Living event held at the Anambra State stadium in Awka. He emphasized that through the demolition of certain properties, Awka will be reimagined as a true state capital that will be a source of pride for all its residents.

“We are prepared to clear sections of Awka and construct a capital that truly reflects our identity. Additionally, we will undertake the construction of flyovers spanning the city’s highways. It is our objective that, by next year, as Anambra state commemorates its 33rd year, the governor of the state will reside in the government house in Awka for the first time,” Soludo declared.

Furthermore, Soludo reiterated his administration’s commitment to responsible financial management, ensuring that every resource generated by the state government will be utilized effectively to foster sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on human capital development.

Governor Soludo encouraged the youth to strive diligently to secure a prosperous future. He also urged participants in the state government’s “one youth two skills program” to take their training seriously, as it holds the potential to be a life-changing opportunity.

He underscored the government’s unwavering determination to bring about positive change in the lives of the youth and all the residents of the state.
