Tottenham Hotspur has secured a deal worth over £45 million to bring Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest on the transfer deadline day.
Manager Ange Postecoglou had identified Johnson as a key target to strengthen the team’s attacking options before the transfer window closed.
Brennan Johnson, an established Wales international, is on the verge of becoming Tottenham’s ninth summer signing. The talented player, who emerged from Nottingham Forest’s academy, boasts an impressive track record, having scored 29 goals and provided 12 assists in 108 senior appearances.
Under Postecoglou’s leadership, Tottenham has performed admirably in the Premier League, accumulating seven points from their initial three games. Johnson’s imminent arrival is expected to help fill the void left by the departure of Harry Kane, the club’s record-breaking top scorer, who moved to Bayern Munich last month.
