Manchester United has made a double signing on transfer deadline day, securing the services of Tottenham’s full-back Sergio Reguilon on a season-long loan and finalizing a loan deal with Fiorentina for Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

Earlier in the day, the club also completed the acquisition of Turkey’s goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, from Fenerbahce for a sum of £4.3 million.

Sergio Reguilon, a 26-year-old Spaniard, had spent the previous season on loan at Atletico Madrid after joining Tottenham in 2020.

In his comments, he expressed his readiness to contribute to Manchester United, stating, “I know that I can contribute to Manchester United this season,” and emphasized his determination to showcase his abilities and fight for success with the team.

He also mentioned having discussed the manager’s expectations and his readiness to play his role in achieving the team’s goals.

Reguilon’s Premier League experience includes 52 appearances for Tottenham, where he scored twice. He has earned six caps for the Spanish national team and has an impressive club career with 230 games played for clubs like Real Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham, and Atletico. His list of achievements includes winning the Europa League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
