Nigeria finished second in their pool to secure a ticket in the knockout phase in the ongoing global competition.

The Super Falcons made it to the last 16 after finishing second in Group B with five points. Nigeria drew 0-0 with Canada in their first game before defying the odds and beating hosts Australia 3-2 in their second game.

Their final group game against the Republic of Ireland ended 0-0 but the West African nation had done enough to make it to the next hurdle.

The Super Eagles have been scheduled to play England who topped Group D after winning all their matches.

The game is scheduled to be played on Monday, August 7, at 08.30 WAT at the Brisbane Stadium.
