Chimamanda Adichie Allies with Peter Obi in Court Battle Against President Tinubu’s Victory

Renowned author Chimamanda Adichie joined the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

Their appearance is part of their challenge to President Bola Tinubu’s victory from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25, 2023 election, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The court is scheduled to resume hearings to consider the adoption of written addresses presented by the Labour Party and Peter Obi. The petitioners, including the Labour Party, Peter Obi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, are earnestly seeking the nullification of Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 poll.

They are fervently praying to either be declared the legitimate winners of the election or for a rerun to be conducted.

All parties have now filed and exchanged their final written addresses. The latest submission came from Tinubu on July 24, as a response to Atiku and PDP’s final written address.
