Journey of Faith Complete: Kwara State Pilgrims Return from Hajj

Kwara State welcomes the return of all 3,550 pilgrims who embarked on this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The final batch of pilgrims arrived back in the state capital, Ilorin, at 9 am on Saturday, marking the end of their spiritual journey.

Air Peace played a crucial role in bringing back the remaining 272 Kwara pilgrims, departing from Jeddah International Airport in Saudi Arabia at approximately 2.30 am on Saturday. Alh AbdulSalam AbdulKadir, the executive secretary of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, was among those who returned alongside the pilgrims.

The successful completion of the hajj and the safe return of all pilgrims have brought immense joy and relief to the families of the pilgrims. This significant milestone reflects the dedication and commitment of all those involved in ensuring a smooth and memorable pilgrimage experience for the faithful.

According to AbdulKadir, “A total of 272 Kwara pilgrims were on board the Air Peace Aircraft from Jeddah Airport. With this last return flight, the 3,550 pilgrims that performed this year’s hajj through the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board have all arrived Ilorin.”
