Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has taken the decision to suspend Hon Solomon Akpulonu, who represents Obingwa East State Constituency.
The reason for the suspension is that Akpulonu granted press interviews without following the appropriate channels within the House. This behavior from the lawmaker has resulted in disorder within the House, and the Speaker has expressed his unwillingness to tolerate such conduct in the future.
Hon Solomon Akpulonu is affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The suspension will be in effect without delay and will last for 14 sitting days.
