In a letter issued on Wednesday, Wole Olanipekun & Co, the legal counsel representing Dr. Oba Otudeko, has advised FBN Holdings to disregard a petition from Ecobank’s lawyers regarding the rejection of 4.7 billion shares purchased by Otudeko.
The law firm dismissed Ecobank’s claims that there was a Supreme Court judgment supporting their contention that Otudeko owed them the sum of N13.5 billion
The letter partly reads, “The sum of N13,507,052,417.99 (thirteen billion, five hundred and seven million, fifty two thousand, four hundred and seventeen naira, ninety nine kobo) stated in Ecobank’s letter is/was not contained in the Supreme Court decision or any extant Court decision in Nigeria or elsewhere.”
