According to Sulaiman Idris, the spokesperson for Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, an Executive Order has been signed by the governor to restructure the state government ministries. The aim of this action is to reduce wastefulness in government operations and eliminate overlapping functions. As a result, the number of ministries will be reduced from 28 to 16.
The ministries that have been newly approved include Agriculture, Budget and Planning, Science and Technology, Environment and Natural Resources, Finance, Health, and Commerce, Trade and Industry. Additionally, there are ministries for Information and Culture, Justice, Housing and Urban Development, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Religious Affairs, Women Affairs and Social Development, Works and Infrastructure, Youth and Sport, as well as Internal Security and Home Affairs.
