Over the summer, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been linked with an exit from the London club and Bayer Leverkusen are emerging as the prime option for the Swiss, as per The Sun.
The 30-year-old only has twelve months remaining on his contract with Mikel Arteta’s plans for a major summer overhaul don’t have the former captain involved in it.
The Swiss captain is set to return to former club, Bayern Leverkusen, as the arrival of Westham and England international, Declan Rice means he will be surplus to requirements.
