The Oyo State Police Command has issued an invitation to Abdullahi Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, a skit maker, regarding a viral skit that has caused concern.
In a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Osifeso Adewale, on Thursday, it was revealed that the police deemed the skit “disturbing” due to its content involving a minor.
The skit, lasting approximately 38 seconds, allegedly portrayed the sexualization of a female minor, as she was coerced into engaging in a conversation about the skit maker’s genitals.
While recognizing and appreciating the creativity and effort put into artistic endeavors, the Oyo State Police Command strongly urged against crossing the boundaries of violence, sexual abuse, or any other extreme behavior in the name of entertainment. They emphasized the need to respect the sensibilities of others.
The Command assured the public that further updates regarding the matter would be provided in due course. Trinity Guy, in response, expressed gratitude to the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, for his guidance and mentorship, acknowledging the areas in which he needed to improve.
Adejobi had previously called for the arrest of Trinity Guy due to the controversial nature of the skit, which raised concerns among the public.
