Supreme Court to appoint eight justices

The Supreme Court has initiated the procedure of selecting eight new judges to join its significantly understaffed panel.

Evidently, this action is intended to complete the court’s bench with a total of 21 justices, a milestone that has never been achieved before. Since August of the previous year, the court has operated with only 13 judges, making it challenging to handle an increasing workload flooded with diverse appeals from various regions across the nation.
