The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and representatives of the federal government team are presently locked in discussions at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Comrade Joe Ajaero led the NLC delegation, which arrived at the Presidential Villa at approximately 5:45 pm.
On Sunday, the NLC had boycotted a previous meeting with the government following President Bola Tinubu’s recent pronouncement, made during his May 29 inauguration, that “subsidy is gone.”
NLC refused to attend the Sunday meeting, alleging that the government had surprised them with the new price template from the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), which fixed the pump price above N500.
