The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) says it will call out workers across the country effective from Wednesday, June 7. The decision to this effect was taken at the end of the emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Congress held in Abuja on Friday.

The National President of NLC, Joe Ajaero, told journalists said:“The NLC NEC directs all state councils and industrial unions to commence mobilization from this moment.”

NLC said the strike would begin on Wednesday if the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) fails to reverse the new pump price for petrol of N500 and above.
