Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi Interrogated by EFCC in Kwara State

According to reports from PUNCH, Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, is presently undergoing interrogation at the zonal command office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Reliable sources familiar with the situation explained that Fayemi arrived at the EFCC facility at approximately 9:40 am on Thursday. One source stated, “Fayemi arrived at our Kwara command office at about 9:40 am today. Our operatives are currently questioning him regarding allegations of misappropriation of N4 billion.”

Another source mentioned that it is uncertain whether he will be released on the same day or detained. It is worth noting that Fayemi is not the only former governor currently under investigation by the EFCC, as stated by another source.
