Former state Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has stated that he has no intention of seeking a position in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which began yesterday.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Ganduje expressed his support for Tinubu’s success but clarified that he would accept an appointment if it was offered to him. He emphasized that he is not actively pursuing any appointment.
Ganduje extended his well wishes to Tinubu, praying for Allah’s assistance, as people voted for him based on the expectation that he would replicate his successful governance in Lagos State and because he is seen as a genuine democrat.
He regarded Tinubu’s victory as a shared triumph since they had supported him. Furthermore, Ganduje revealed that he did not attend the inauguration ceremony of Abba Yusuf on the previous day in order to prevent clashes between their respective supporters.
