The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has urged individuals, corporate organizations, and particularly all levels of government to provide support to the tourist attractions in the country.
He made this appeal during the unveiling of an art exhibition in Asaba, which marked the 40th anniversary of Didi Museum and the official opening of Nelson Mandela Gardens & Resort. The Emir emphasized that such efforts are crucial for generating employment opportunities for Nigerians.
Nigeria has many cultural centres that can be explored meanwhile, Dr. Newton Jibunoh, the founder of Didi Museum, mentioned that trees planted three years ago have now grown to provide shade.
He further expressed that even though three late traditional rulers, including the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunnade Sijuade, and late HRM Omo n’oba Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa1, may have passed away, their legacies live on through the celebration of the journey that began 40 years ago.
