Hilda Bassey, a Nigerian chef is making a big splash to achieve a world record of an individual to cook for the longest hour. Also known as Hilda Baci on social media, she has gained worldwide attention since she initiated her cooking marathon.
She aims to secure the title for the longest cooking marathon (individual), currently held by Lata Tondon of India, who achieved a time of 87 hours and 45 minutes.
Hilda commenced her cooking marathon on Thursday and persevered until Monday, reportedly preparing 55 recipes and over 100 meals during an astonishing 100-hour stretch. Our records team officials eagerly anticipate reviewing the evidence and aspire to validate Hilda’s remarkable feat as a new world record in the near future.
According to a representative from Guinness World Records: “We are aware of the record attempt and are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review, before we can confirm the record is official.”
