Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is all set to take charge of the Blues in the coming weeks, and he has already informed them about the signings they need to make ahead of next season.
Pochettino wants them to add an creative central midfielder to his ranks, and has asked Todd Boehly to gazump Liverpool to Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, according to a report by Fichajes.
Mac Allister has a contract at the Amex until 2025 which puts him in a strong position to push for a move away from the Seagulls.
Liverpool are thought to be one of the teams interested in landing Mac Allister this summer alongside Manchester United.
