Alfie Haaland, the father of Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland, has claimed that he was asked to leave his seat at the Bernabeu stadium during Manchester City’s Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

Haaland said that he was escorted out because the home fans were unhappy with his celebrations after Kevin de Bruyne scored an equalizer for City. Video footage circulating on social media appears to show Alfie Haaland taunting the Madrid fans before being removed. Haaland denied allegations that he threw food at the supporters and said that he and the fans had “good banter.”

Real Madrid have won the Champions League five times since 2014, and they knocked out City in the semi-finals last year. Reports have suggested that Erling Haaland has a release clause in his contract that would allow him to join Real Madrid in 2024, although City boss Pep Guardiola has denied this.
