Kevin De Bruyne earned Man City a draw in their Champions League semi-final as the Belgian scored a long-range strike in their 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
Madrid’s Vinicius Jr opened the scoring with a thunderbolt in the first-half.
City had been in control for large portions of the first-half but went in at half-time with a one-goal deficit, after Vinicius Jr’s brilliant strike.
The Brazilian latched onto the ball on the edge of the area and sent his effort into the top-left corner, leaving Ederson with no chance.
Steve McManaman was left stunned by the power Vinicius managed to summon as he opened the scoring in the Champions League semi-final.
‘I didn’t know a man his size could hit it that hard!’ stated McManaman as Vinicius shot rifled into the back of the net.
After the break, Real Madrid appeared to have more control than they did in the opening 45 minutes but soon found themselves pegged back by the visitors.
Pep Guardiola’s side built a neat attack that found it’s way to Gundogan on the edge of the box. The German took a moment before laying it off to De Bruyne, who lashed it home.
