In a piece of sensational news story, Relevo jounalist Toni Juanmarti is reporting that superagent Jorge Mendes has offered Barcelona a chance to swap Ansu Fati for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.

Wolves have proposed a player-plus-cash deal including €30m cash alongside playmaker Neves, and it is said that the Camp Nou hierarchy are considering the proposal, with the deal helping them manage their ongoing financial difficulties.

Fati, 20, has fallen down the pecking order under Xavi Hernandez, and could be moved on this summer, while 26-year-old Neves is set to enter the final year of his contract next season.

The Portuguese midfielder has been on the Barcelona radar for months, but the Catalan giants think that players like Martin Zubimendi and Sofyan Amrabat are more suited for the pivot position, albeit both are less feasible alternatives.
