The President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari chaired a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday. Prior to the meeting, he administered the oath of office to six newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries from Borno, Cross River, Gombe, Kano, Ogun, and Taraba states.
The meeting was attended by senior government officials such as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, and the National Security Adviser. Also present were several ministers, including those responsible for finance, information and culture, the Federal Capital Territory, industry and trade, communication and digital economy, power, and labor and employment.
Following the meeting, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation encouraged the new permanent secretaries to do their best in their roles to improve the efficiency of the civil service.
