Gerard Romero’s statement that Barcelona are prepared to compete with Real Madrid in the hunt to land Reece James sparked rumours earlier this month.
The Chelsea star has become a sought-after prospect in the market this summer, as the Premier League heavyweights are desperately trying to balance the books by selling some of their key players, especially following January’s spending splurge.
Reece James may be available for as little as €50 million at the conclusion of the season. Real Madrid was put on high alert, and Barcelona was also reportedly keeping an eye out for the market possibility.
However, Fabrizio Romano has recently clarified that Barcelona are not interested in the services of Reece James despite recent claims.
