Arsenal drop points in title race after conceding two-goal lead in draw with West Ham

Arsenal’s hopes of winning the Premier League took a hit as they threw away a two-goal lead and missed a penalty to draw against West Ham. Despite Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard’s early goals, Mikel Arteta’s side could not hold on to their lead, and West Ham fought back through a penalty from Said Benrahma and a stunning volley from Jarrod Bowen.

Although Arsenal was granted a penalty of their own, Bukayo Saka missed it, and West Ham almost won it when Michail Antonio’s header hit the crossbar in the dying moments. Arsenal’s lead over Manchester City has been reduced to four points after City’s win against Leicester, and with seven games left, Arsenal faces an uphill battle in their title challenge.

Arsenal play Southampton next before facing Manchester City away on April 26th, who has a game in hand.
