Erling Haaland was the star of the show as Manchester City cruised to a 3-1 win over Leicester City, with the Norwegian striker scoring twice to bring his total Premier League goals for the season to 32, level with Mohamed Salah.
Haaland’s brace takes his overall tally to an impressive 47 goals in 40 games for City this season. The win was further evidence of City’s dominance, with John Stones scoring a stunning goal from long range before Haaland added his two strikes, including a well-taken penalty, to put the game beyond doubt.
Leicester’s only goal came from former City player Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored in the 25th minute. Unfortunately for Leicester, the defeat leaves them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, with just 25 points from 31 games.
Haaland will be hoping to break Salah’s record in his next game, against table-toppers Arsenal.
