The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced the indefinite postponement of the training for Enumerators and Supervisors, which was originally scheduled to take place on April 13. Dr Ipalibo Harry, Chairman of the Census Committee, made this known to the press in Abuja on Wednesday.
However, Dr Harry assured the public that this delay would not in any way affect the smooth conduct of the Population and Housing Census, which is scheduled to hold from May 3 to May 7. He explained that the commission had already completed the training of Quality Data Managers and other relevant personnel and was fully prepared to conduct a credible census.
The Chairman also stated that a new date for the training of Enumerators and Supervisors would be communicated to all concerned parties as soon as possible.
