According to Dario Sport, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez wants Sergio Busquets to respond to his contract status sooner rather than later.
Busquets, 34, becomes a free agent at the end of the season, but Barca are eager for the midfielder to accept a one-year extension on significantly reduced terms. The Spain international has also been heavily linked with a lucrative move to Major League Soccer and Saudi Pro League.
Barcelona have told the veteran they want an answer by the end of the month so they can plan for next season.
