Man City eyes Frankfurt defender

According to 90min, Manchester City have asked the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back Evan Ndicka to be kept informed of his plans ahead of his departure from the Bundesliga side this summer.

The Cityzens appear to be preparing for life without Aymeric Laporte next season, with the Spanish international expected to leave the Etihad after struggling for game-time during the most part of the ongoing season.

If the former Athletic Bilbao defender departs Manchester City, Pep Guardiola will almost certainly look for a similar replacement in the forthcoming summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season, which means he will be free to join another club without a transfer fee, and as such Manchester City have been joined by Liverpool in expressing an interest in the Frenchman.
