Hajiya Rabi Aminu Dantata, the wife of Aminu Dantata, a well-known Nigerian businessman and elder statesman, has passed away in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her grandson, Sanusi Dantata, confirmed the news on his verified Twitter account on Saturday.

Mama Rabi, known by many under that affectionate name, fought a long illness before eventually passing away in her late 70s.
She was the second wife of Aminu Dantata and is survived by her husband, six children, and numerous grandchildren. Tajjuddeen Dantata, one of her children, is a highly regarded figure in Nigeria’s business community.
