Senator Chimaroke Nnamani criticized supporters of an Interim National Government on Thursday, stating that it is a treasonous act and an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians. In a statement released in Abuja, Nnamani referred to the ING as ridiculous and stated that it has no place in contemporary democratic governance, further arguing that the people behind the scheme are foes of Nigeria.

Nnamani stated that: “The presidential election has been conducted and a winner has been declared. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be sworn-in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29, 2023. ING is a needless distraction.”

Nnamani, who is the Senator representing Enugu East, reiterated that “Asiwaju will be sworn-in on May 29, 2023 and he will hit the ground running”.

According to Nnamani, the senator representing Enugu East, Asiwaju will take office on May 29, 2023, and will quickly get to work. Nnamani believes that Tinubu will stick to his promise of implementing Social Protection, National Transformation, and Restructuring programs.

As contemporaries as governors in the 1999 cohort, Nnamani is optimistic that a Tinubu-led administration will address important issues such as infrastructure, youth unemployment, women’s empowerment, and the challenges facing young girls. He urges all Nigerians to support the incoming government, which he hopes will be a government of national unity that treats all parts of Nigeria fairly and equally.
