Nigerian ace striker, Victor Osimhen, has spoken about their upcoming match against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in the African Cup of Nations. He emphasized that the Super Eagles do not underestimate their opponents and will show them the respect they deserve.
Osimhen also expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ ability to win the match. He noted that the team is well-prepared and ready to face the Djurtus. In their previous encounter during the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, the Super Eagles had won convincingly with a score of 3-0 in a group game.
The upcoming match will be the third round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and it will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. The Super Eagles, who have won the tournament three times before, will be hoping to secure another victory and progress further in the competition.
While addressing NFF TV, Osimhen said, “We are looking forward to it and I’m happy to be back to the squad it is an amazing feeling and really expecting amazing result in the two legged game against Guinea-Bissau,
“We don’t underrate our opponent we want to give them the respect they deserve also as a team,”.
