On Monday morning, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
announced Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state as the victor of the state’s gubernatorial election, which took place on Saturday.
In a declaration made this morning in Lafia, the state’s returning officer, Professor Tanko Ishaya, announced that Governor Sule has won the election in Nasarawa State. With a total of 347,209 votes, Sule emerged as the candidate with the highest number of votes, defeating his closest opponent, Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP, who garnered 283,016 votes.
