A win for Brighton against Crystal Palace and a win for Brentford against Southampton has made both teams get closer to European competition qualifying.
A goal by Solly March in the 15th minute is enough for Brighton to overcome struggling Crystal Palace. While Ivan Toney and Yoane Wissa score a goal each to make sure Brentford bounced back from a defeat to Everton last weekend.
The win for Brighton put them in 7th position with 42pts level with Liverpool and 2pts behind 5th place Newcastle. For Brentford, they occupy the 8th position with 41pts, 1 point behind Brighton.
Brentford will have a chance to move up further as they play Leicester, while Liverpool and Brighton will not be playing.
