One of the most used and active social media platform Twitter faced a technical glitch for the second time in the space of a week. The occurrence happened around 4:30pm Nigerian time, as tens of thousands users are affected globally.
With over three hours shutdown at the beginning of the month, the continuous occurrence of the glitch is becoming more frustrating as users don’t have access to new feeds, photos and trending during the technical fault.
The outages have been increasing ever since the Elon Musk Twitter takeover, leading to speculation that there aren’t enough people to fix its problems.
In February alone, the site experienced at least four widespread outages, compared with nine in all of 2022, according to NetBlocks.
