Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2023 presidential election, has not yet accepted the invitation to speak at the prestigious policy center, according to Chatham House.

According to TheNewsGuru.com (TNG), Before Peter Obi presented at the institute on Monday about his ideas for policy and governance improvements in Nigeria, Alex Vines, Director of Africa Program at Chatham House, made this information public.

Vine asserts that the invitation to Atiku is still open and that the PDP presidential candidate can still attend Chatham House to deliver his speech.

Meanwhile, the Director of Africa Programme at Chatham House confirmed that the flag bearer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso will also speak at Chatham House later in the week.

Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will also give a talk at the institute this week, according to Vines.

Recall that on December 5, 2022, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu was at Chatham House and discussed some of his proposals for Nigeria.

TNG reports Atiku, Obi, Tinubu and Kwankwaso are the frontline candidates in the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
