Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder and CEO of the Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA), has passed away.

It was discovered that the renowned director passed away on Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos following a brief illness.

In a brief homage to her on the social networking platform, Facebook, producer of Last Flight to Abuja Obi Emelonye said: “Thank you and good night dada Peace,” in a terse confirmation that the renowned and influential director had passed away.
