Salako wrote in his letter of resignation:
“I can’t infiltrate a political party that I am challenging. I am extremely appreciative that the Labour Party prevented me from joining the APC over the many years I was with them. The Labour Party exalted me and told me I couldn’t go when I wanted to. I am a sincere person. “I don’t lie or cheat; it’s where I’m going that counts,” I once said. I attended the party to see how I could improve it for myself.
He added that because he is competing for political office in the upcoming election, he is unable to continue serving as the party’s chairman. According to Salako, the party’s organizational structure is still crucial, and he would not compromise it to further his own objectives.
The leader of the Labour Party stated,
“I have to hand over. We have been constructing this for months. The structure is the best asset a politician can have.
